Good Friday is a special day when Christians remember something huge: Jesus Christ chose to suffer and die on the cross. This is called the crucifixion. He didn’t have to do it. He did it out of love, as a sacrifice to pay for our sins.
But the story doesn’t end there. A few days later comes Easter, a joyful celebration. On Easter, we remember that Jesus rose from the dead. This is called the resurrection. It shows that Jesus won a victory over sin and death. And it gives hope to everyone who believes in him through faith — one day, they too will be raised to new life, just like Jesus was (Romans 6:5).
Together, Good Friday and Easter tell one full story: pain and love on the cross, followed by hope and new life through the resurrection.
